"In the Rain"  

I asked the Lord how much He loved me & He said this much!

Stretched out his arms & died, just prove His Love.

Now it's Him I trust with all my heart

He lifted me up & put my feet upon a rock.

Now I just can't stop lifting up His name,

I ain't ever been the same since He passed my way,

But when it rains it pours & now here comes the thunder

Sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under.

My brother if you hear me let me know that your there,

My sisters if you feel me put my name in your prayers,

Cause there's a demon on my tail & I just can't shake it

If I get hit one more time I don't know if I can make it

But I take it like a man dust off my pants & move forward

I'm not a quitter I thought I told you I was a soldier

Gotta hold your salvation w/ the strength of the Lord

We came too far to give up now so we got to weather the storm.

-I don't wanna go outside in the rain-

I'm in the eye of the storm fighting the spirit of doubt.

How come its raining so hard & I'm in this spiritual drought

I gotta get out before I drown because I just can't get up

Sometimes it gets so hard I say "Lord take this cup"

But I know what is up & the life that awaits

A spirit that will forsake me & an enemy that hates me.

Who takes me through this trial is it the devil or the Lord

I know whoever it is this hardship I must endure

One thing I know for sure is that we're in the battlefield

I seen many get taken out once they let down their shield

So I gotta keep it real cuz they my sisters & brothers

The storm affects us all so we gotta look out for one another.

Keep each other in prayer, stand in the gap & intercede

& take refuge in the shelter of the Lords wings

Above all things keep your eyes on the Lord

& don't let go so quick & deny your blessing in the storm.

How come satan always rains on my sunny days?

I get my fire lit up & he tries to blow it away

I need to stay on the path not the wide but the narrow

Gotta bind that lying devil & keep my eyes on the sparrow

So many run & hide the first sign of the rain

When all we had to do was pray & ask for one more day

You may be going through some things can barely hold on

But ya know when you are weak that's when He makes you strong

You come a long way think about it before you were saved

Cause you were slipping into darkness heading straight for the grave

Now look at your life today & all that you have

You see that all these lil' problems really don't seem too bad

So stand firm like a soldier & let Lord give you Grace

& say I fought the good fight & I finished the race

don't take the easy way out & let the trials win you over

just take a hold of the cross & leave the fighting to Jehovah

get a hold of the Lord, don't let go grab on tight

Cause he wants to give you peace in your hard times

You'll see his shine break through the clouds now the storm is gone

This battle has been won because you kept holding on.........
